On December 19, drones attacked the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery, located in the Rostov region of Russia. As a result of the attack, at least one fuel tank was set on fire.
"New satellite images reveal that at least one fuel tank at the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in the Rostov region was ignited due to a Ukrainian drone strike five days ago," – reports the Russian service "Radio Free Europe."
It is noted that this is not the first attack on this facility. Drones "visited" there in June 2024.
It is noteworthy that the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery is the largest refinery in southern Russia and the only one in the Rostov region.

On the evening of December 23, another "bang" occurred in the Rostov region of Russia. The local military airfield "Millerovo" was under drone attack.
Reports circulated online about possible damage to the building of the Millerovo Cossack Cadet Vocational School. At that time, it was reported that students were being evacuated from the dormitory.
Meanwhile, Andrei Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, noted that "Millerovo" is a strategic airfield for Russia in the Rostov region. This facility serves as a base for front-line aviation that supports Russian infantry operating in Ukraine.
