In 2024, the occupying Russian Federation army lost over 434,000 of its servicemen in Ukraine.
This information was provided by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during an interview with TSN.Tyzhden. He emphasized that last year, Russian invaders suffered more casualties than in the first two years of the full-scale invasion:
"According to our calculations, the total losses amounted to over 434,000 personnel. Of these, approximately 140,000 are fatalities. Over the course of this year of combat, the enemy lost more than in the previous two years of war."

According to the latest data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, throughout the full-scale war, the Russian occupying army has lost around 818,740 soldiers.
The British Ministry of Defence reported that in 2022, the Russian army lost more than 105,000 troops in the war against Ukraine, in 2023 - nearly 253,000, and in 2024 - over 429,000.
