The Special Representative of U.S. President Donald Trump for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, made his first statement following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. On his social media page on X, he mentioned that he had a busy day engaging with the country's top leadership.

"It was a long and productive day of discussions with Ukraine's senior leadership. Extensive and positive conversations with Volodymyr Zelensky, the courageous leader of a nation at war, and his talented national security team," he wrote.

Kellogg's remarks came in response to Zelensky's initial statement after their meeting in Kyiv. According to the Ukrainian president, his meeting with Trump's special representative restored hope that Ukraine would continue its cooperation with the United States.

"With General Kellogg, we discussed the situation at the front lines, the need for the release of all our prisoners of war held in Russia, and the necessity for a clear, reliable security guarantee system—one that ensures this war will never return and that Russia will no longer destroy lives," Zelensky shared on his social media page on X.
