Ukrainian and American officials are working to resolve their differences this week regarding the agreement on American investments in the extraction of Ukrainian minerals. This was reported by Bloomberg citing an informed source.
A source from the publication revealed that following Donald Trump's public remarks about "dictator" Zelensky, Ukrainian officials are now actively discussing mineral resources with U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, who is currently in Kyiv on a working visit.
Zelensky, who rejected the initial U.S. proposal to transfer half of the revenue from Ukrainian minerals to the U.S., stated after yesterday's meeting with Kellogg that there is a "restoration of hope."
The Bloomberg source emphasized that the original U.S. proposal violated Ukrainian legislation. Consequently, Kyiv suggested its own amendments to ensure that the agreement would be beneficial for both sides.
