The "Lukoil" oil depot in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation was attacked by drones from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense.

According to sources from UNIAN within the GUR, the facility, which supports the operations of Russian occupying forces, was struck around midnight local time.

Residents of Kstovo reported on social media at least three explosions at the facility. Meanwhile, GUR sources claim that there were four hits on the territory of the oil depot.

Ukrainian intelligence indicates that the oil depot suffered significant damage, with all four UAVs launched at the hostile facility hitting their targets.

Local Russian forums have shared videos of a large fire at the oil depot.

Strike on the Oil Refinery in Kstovo

During the night, Russian social media reported an attack by unidentified drones on the oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia. The reports were accompanied by videos and photos showing a major fire.

In March of last year, drones had already targeted this refinery.

The "Lukoil-Nizhnegorodnefteorgsintez" oil refinery is located in Kstovo, alongside chemical plants and a thermal power station in the industrial zone.

This facility ranks as the fourth largest oil refinery in terms of production, processing over 15 million tons of crude oil annually.

It is noteworthy that Ukrainian drones regularly strike Russian oil depots. For instance, on January 18, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully targeted a oil depot in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation. At that time, the "Rosneft" oil depot in the settlement of Lyudinovo in the Kaluga region was hit.
