Russians struck Kyiv with unmanned aerial vehicles, resulting in the depressurization of a gas pipe in the Solomianskyi district, igniting a store, parked cars, and a trade facility.
The fire caused by the attack from enemy drones was reported at 04:29, covering an area of 50 square meters, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Rescue teams reported that the fire was extinguished by 05:37.
"Fifteen people were evacuated, and four injured individuals were handed over to medical personnel. A man with leg injuries has been hospitalized. Rescuers continue with the evacuation and dismantling of structures," the agency added.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, debris from drones fell in the Solomianskyi district, leading to the depressurization of a gas pipe located on the facade of a nine-story building, which caused a store to catch fire and resulted in injuries to individuals. Additionally, debris fell onto an open area in the Sviatoshyn district of the city.
Later, the KCMO clarified the number of people injured as a result of the enemy drone strike:
"Six people were injured. One person with serious leg injuries was hospitalized."
Subsequently, city officials reported that this was the 18th airstrike by Russians on Kyiv since the beginning of October. Enemy drones approached the capital from various directions, and our soldiers managed to neutralize them. Air raid alerts were declared twice during the night in Kyiv, lasting a total of over four hours.
The KCMO also added that three parked cars burned in the Solomianskyi district. "In the Sviatoshyn district, debris shattered windows in a three-story administrative building. No information about injuries has been received," the report noted.
