Russian occupation forces on the Vremovskoye direction are preparing to advance using armored vehicles. Infantry assault groups will attack with fire support, as reported by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, in a comment to LIGA.net, referencing intelligence data.

According to him, the use of armored vehicles to support troops is planned in the areas of Priyutnoye and Levadnoye in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy has already conducted relevant exercises at one of the training grounds in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia. Additionally, the invaders are preparing to conduct more active combat operations under the cover of drones and using various anti-thermal cloaks.

"In modern warfare, technology is not a cure-all. It is quite vulnerable in contemporary combat conditions, so it is not always effective. Especially in the south, where the front line effectively runs through the steppe zone, equipment is easily visible and can be targeted by drones or artillery," the spokesperson reassured.

At the same time, according to Voloshin, the occupiers continue to use buggies and motorcycles for rapid movement between positions and for transporting personnel and certain types of weapons. This also allows the enemy to move quickly and avoid detonating on minefields. However, Ukrainian drones effectively target them.

War in Ukraine - situation in the south

Recently, The Economist reported, citing a high-ranking Ukrainian official, that Russian occupation forces are targeting Zaporizhzhia and may begin an offensive on this city.

Earlier, Voloshin noted that in the south, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are facing a group of Russian occupation troops consisting of about 200,000 personnel.

A "real fortress" is being constructed around Zaporizhzhia and along defensive lines in the Zaporizhzhia region. This statement was made by Alexander Kovalenko, a representative of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration. The fortifications are being built under the constant supervision of Ukrainian military personnel, who advise civilian contractors on what and where to build.
