U.S. Assistance to Ukraine: What Preceded It
John Kirby, advisor to Joe Biden on national security communications, stated that the U.S. president approved a new aid package for Ukraine. It was noted that this will be the 72nd such package.
The details of the new assistance were not disclosed. Kirby only mentioned that Ukraine would be provided with additional air defense resources, artillery, drones, and armored vehicles.
At the same time, a senior administration official commented to the media that by mid-January, the U.S. plans to deliver hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of missiles, hundreds of armored vehicles, and other crucial resources to Ukraine.
