In a statement from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding negotiations to end the war, the "other parties" involved are China and several European Union countries.

This was announced by Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, during a broadcast of the information telethon. He urged a calm approach to this matter, noting that preparatory procedures are already underway to determine what the scenario for ending the war should look like:

"For this scenario to genuinely reflect the interests of Ukraine, Europe, and so forth. So that this scenario does not appear to be pro-Russian. This is all quite complex."

According to Podolyak, Trump aims to establish informal communication at the level of Ukraine - United States and Russia - United States, and only then present his plan. "Today, I emphasize once again, there is no such plan," he noted.

The Ukrainian president clearly expresses the U.S.'s strong interest in ending the war; however, time is needed to understand that this can only happen under the condition of pressuring Russia, the advisor added. "Because asking the Russians to stop is odd. We understand that when you ask an inadequate person for something, rather than compel them to do something, they will respond accordingly," he remarked.

Podolyak also urges a calm reception of the statements from U.S. Special Representative Kit Kellogg regarding elections in Ukraine as reported in the media. He stated that such informal comments indicate a position that may change:

"Holding elections during wartime is physically impossible, because this is not a local war situation like it was in 2014. This is a matter of discussions; it is a normal political process."

He also noted that during the war, Ukraine has become a significant entity on the global stage, while Russia is now perceived not as a potential partner but as an aggressor.

"It is unlikely that the U.S. is interested in ending the war on Russia's terms. Because then Russia would be a dominant player in the global market. Not just politically, but economically. The U.S. is interested in removing a powerful competitor from energy markets, primarily in Europe, as well as from the arms and nuclear technology markets," Podolyak added.

New Trump Administration

As reported by UNIAN, the American leader previously stated that his team has planned meetings and negotiations with various parties, including Ukraine and Russia.

The U.S. President's Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Kit Kellogg, stated that for the war to end, both sides need to make concessions.
