On the night of January 10, drones from the Security Service of Ukraine and the "Neptune" missile targeted a storage facility for ammunition and reconnaissance drones near the village of Chaltyr in the Rostov region.
According to sources from UNIAN in the security service, the SBU drones first "overloaded" the Russian air defense, and then the "Neptune" made its appearance at the site.
As reported by a source, throughout the night, Russians complained on social media about the sounds of flying drones, the operation of Russian air defense, and mentioned a strong explosion - the arrival of the "Neptune". They later discussed multiple explosions near the village of Chaltyr, indicating secondary detonation of munitions.
"The SBU, along with the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, struck a highly significant target - a warehouse with reconnaissance drones that direct enemy strikes on Ukrainian cities and the frontline. Now there will be fewer of these Russian 'birds' in the sky. Operations against military targets in enemy territory will continue," an informed source in the SBU reported.
As UNIAN reported, on January 4, long-range drones from the SBU struck the largest trading port in Russia, Ust-Luga, in the Leningrad region. One of the drones hit storage tanks containing gas condensate. As a result of the strike, one tank suffered significant damage, while three neighboring tanks were damaged by shrapnel from the explosion.
On January 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered a precision strike on the command post of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in the city of Khartsyzk in the Donetsk region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the Russian occupation forces used this building to coordinate attacks against the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the civilian population, particularly the residents of Kurakhovo.
Furthermore, specialists from the "Wings" special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense discovered and destroyed a Russian artillery position in the Zaporizhzhia region. To eliminate the enemy target, the scouts used two kamikaze drones of the Darts type with three-kilogram combined munitions and three FPV Babay-Heavy drones with one-and-a-half-kilogram cumulative projectiles.
