Currently, the biggest challenge for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region is the enemy's fire control over the entire logistics of the Ukrainian military. This information was reported by analysts from DeepState.
According to experts, since January, the Russians have been building up their capabilities to control the movements of the AFU, but necessary decisions were not made by Ukraine to address this issue.
"Throughout February, this situation began to peak, and the most significant complications arose after the loss of Sverdlikov, which was also attempted to be restored in a poorly thought-out manner," the report noted.
The analysts added that the Russian army had the opportunity to break through to Noven'ke by increasing a specific grouping and continues to do so, as they feel the momentum from previous successes.
"It cannot be said that they (the occupiers - UNIAN) can easily consolidate in the village, as it is inherently difficult to do so due to the absence of a village per se, and the terrain itself does not facilitate this. It is obvious that a decision will be made to conduct stabilization measures since this case has even gained public attention, but how it will end and whether the enemy will take it as a fundamental goal to secure themselves there will be shown by time. The resources for this are available to the Russians, and they are trying to establish a foothold there," emphasized DeepState.

Furthermore, experts reported that the occupiers are also advancing along the border between the settlements of Zhuravka and Noven'ke.
"The largest number of strikes on logistics, which runs from Yunakovka to Sudzha, is being carried out from this area, and the situation there has been deteriorating for quite some time. A significant number of fighters are noting this problem, and urgent action is needed, as the consequences have already manifested in the form of losses of more than a dozen vehicles," the analysts warned.
DeepState concluded that the enemy continues to accumulate forces in the Sverdlikov area and is maintaining pressure, so under the worst-case scenario, the Russian army could reach the outskirts of Sudzha, although, as experts say, "with fire control, they are practically already there."
Kursk Operation - Latest News
Earlier, a Ukrainian drone unit commander stated that North Korean soldiers have changed their tactics in the Kursk region. According to him, they are now moving in smaller groups and attempting to attack the AFU.
At the same time, ATO veteran Yevhen Diky explained how the AFU manages to hold the Kursk region. He noted that the Ukrainian military dominates due to "maneuver warfare."
"We have such strong positions there, as we have managed to impose the type of warfare that is advantageous for us. It is not trench warfare at all. There is no frontline like in Donbas. The war there resembles what was happening in early 2022 in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions; it is very maneuverable warfare in wooded areas," Diky noted.
