In Ukraine, it is currently impossible to adopt a demobilization law. This was stated by Alexander Fedienko, a member of parliament and a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, during a broadcast on "Kyiv 24".

"As of today, it is impossible to carry out demobilization. A rotation really needs to happen. The military personnel on the front lines genuinely need to rest both mentally and physically. I cannot understand how this is physically possible, as we are short on servicemen. Those who can actually hold the defense and conduct counteroffensive operations are lacking," Fedienko said.

When asked whether it is possible for this law to be adopted at all, the MP replied: "I subjectively believe that this law will be passed. What I encounter at the front in combat units—military personnel who have been transferred to reserve companies are not being utilized for military operations. They are not even used to support the front. They simply exist. And I think it would be fair to demobilize them."

Demobilization: Important News

Recently, the Ministry of Defense reported that a draft demobilization law has already been developed. At the same time, they added that conducting demobilization in Ukraine is practically impossible.

According to media reports, the Ministry of Defense has appealed to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence to postpone the preparation of the demobilization bill for three months.

According to MP Fedor Venislavsky, there are no grounds to expect that the demobilization law in Ukraine will be adopted in the near future.
