Under the "eOselya" program, Ukrainians aged up to 26 can obtain a mortgage with a down payment starting from 10% of the property's value, whereas previously it was set at 20%. This information was reported by the Ministry of Economy.

"Now, young Ukrainians will be able to join the program by paying a first installment that is half as much - starting from 10% of the property value," said the first Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, as quoted by the Ministry.

According to the government official, until today, the proportion of young people participating in the program was quite low - only 9%. A total of 1115 loans have been issued in this category.

Officials expect that the number of young participants in the program will increase. It is noteworthy that the program is viewed as a mechanism to encourage young people to stay in the country. Additionally, the program is expected to have a positive impact on the construction industry.

About the "eOselya" Program

The mortgage program "eOselya" is considered one of the components of the "Made in Ukraine" policy. The latter aims to create favorable conditions for the development of production. The program was launched in October 2022.

To apply for an affordable mortgage under the "eOselya" program, individuals can use the "Diia" app. Those interested in the service need to fill out an application and choose an authorized bank. After that, they will be able to sign the necessary documents using the "Diia.Signature" electronic signature.

Recall that in October it became known that the government changed the conditions of "eOselya" for frontline regions. This is intended to facilitate the return of people to liberated territories.

In January, it was reported that under the new program conditions, Ukrainians would be able to purchase private houses and townhouses.
