The special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, successfully struck a oil depot in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation on the night of January 18.
According to a statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the target was the "Rosneft" oil depot located in the settlement of Lyudinovo in the Kaluga region.
"This oil depot is part of JSC 'Kalugananefteprodukt' and serves as a logistics center that supplies the Russian armed forces units directly involved in the war against Ukraine," the General Staff reported.
It has been reported that a fire broke out at the site of the attack. More detailed information regarding the results of the combat operation is still being clarified.
The General Staff noted that damaging such facilities creates significant logistical challenges for the Russian aggressor's army.
