Winning a war in defense is impossible, stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, in an interview with military correspondent Andrey Tsaplienko for the "TSN Week" program.

According to him, Ukraine needs to implement what it has an advantage in.

"We were the first in the world to create Drone Forces. We are currently increasing our drone capabilities. We are actively developing robotic platforms and ground combat systems," Syrsky noted.

Additionally, the general mentioned that work is underway in Ukraine to create a domestic air defense (AD) system:

"We have the capacity and capability to create it… I hope that its characteristics will be no worse than those of the Patriot."

Drone Production in Ukraine - Relevant

Recall that Syrsky previously stated that in December 2024 alone, operators of the Drone Forces struck more than 54,000 enemy targets:

"Almost half of this result - 49% - was achieved by kamikaze drones. The highest performance was demonstrated by units of the 46th Air Assault, 57th Motorized Infantry, 28th Mechanized, 35th Marine Corps, and 3rd Assault Brigades."

Recently, the U.S. declassified information regarding secret support for the development of the military drone industry in Ukraine. It was noted that in September of last year, the States invested $1.5 billion to increase the production of Ukrainian UAVs.
