From February 10 to 16, the distribution system operator "DTEK Networks" managed to fully or partially restore electricity supply to 39 settlements, bringing light back to the homes of over 82,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kyiv regions.
"The highest number of restorations occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region, particularly in the southern part of the area, which is close to the combat zone. Last week, our specialists managed to repair several damaged networks here, restoring power for 49,700 families," the company's press release stated on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Donetsk region remains the center of the most active combat operations, facing daily shelling, drone, missile, and air strikes. Despite the extremely difficult situation, specialists continue to restore electrical networks as soon as it becomes possible and military permission is granted for the work. From February 10 to 16, power was restored to the homes of 31,300 local residents in the region.
The Kyiv region is also suffering from enemy attacks: last week, energy workers restored electricity for 1,100 families whose homes had been left without power due to shelling.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have restored electricity for more than 17.2 million families in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Donetsk regions, and Kyiv city. In some settlements close to the combat zone, we have restored power dozens of times," noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO of "DTEK Networks."
"DTEK Networks" is developing its business in electricity distribution and power grid operation in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions. The company's distribution system operator serves 5.5 million households and 158,000 enterprises.
