Changes to the "Vlasna Sprava" grant program took effect at the beginning of 2025, allowing producers or traders of quiet wines (grape and fruit-berry wines) and honey beverages to receive government support for business development, announced the press service of the Ministry of Economy on Monday.

"Over 23,000 entrepreneurs have already benefited from grants under the 'Vlasna Sprava' program, with the government investing a total of 5.5 billion UAH in their businesses. These investments have led to thousands of new companies, business scaling, increased production of goods and services, the creation of over 40,000 new jobs, and economic growth. We are responding to the needs of businesses and continually improving the program so that more Ukrainians can develop their enterprises with government support," said Deputy Minister of Economy Tatyana Berezhnaya, as stated in the announcement.

According to the information published by the ministry, starting in 2025, another bank has joined the program: participants can now choose between PrivatBank and Oschadbank to open a grant account.

Under the introduced changes, veterans and one of their spouses who receive a grant are given the opportunity to extend the project implementation period from three to seven years. They can independently determine the duration of their business project: three, five, or seven years.

Veterans who have successfully completed their project and settled the grant with taxes and fees can also apply for another grant (this option is available once).

The Ministry of Economy reminded that under the "Vlasna Sprava" grant program, Ukrainians can receive a microgrant ranging from 50,000 to 250,000 UAH. Both existing entrepreneurs and individuals without prior experience can apply for a microgrant. To receive a grant exceeding 75,000 UAH, creating one or two jobs is a mandatory condition, depending on the grant amount. Ukrainians aged under 25 can obtain a grant of up to 150,000 UAH with the requirement to register as an individual entrepreneur; the job creation requirement does not apply to them.

Combat participants, individuals with disabilities due to war, their second spouses, as well as the second spouses of fallen defenders can receive grants ranging from 250,000 UAH to 1 million UAH, provided they create one to four jobs depending on the grant amount.

For grants ranging from 500,000 UAH to 1 million UAH, veterans must be registered as individual entrepreneurs for at least 12 months. Moreover, such grants are provided on the condition of co-financing with the recipient in a 70/30 ratio – the grant recipient must invest 30% of their own funds, while the government will provide 70% in the form of a grant.

Grant funds can be used to purchase or lease equipment, acquire raw materials and supplies, and rent premises. Applications for grants are submitted through the "Diia" portal along with a business plan. The program is administered by the State Employment Service.
