The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has secured nearly $1 billion for the implementation of social programs in collaboration with international partners in 2024, announced Minister Oksana Zholnovich.
"We all know that the support of our state and social budget is continuously provided today thanks to international partners. We have certain resources that go directly into the budget, but our ministry's team did not stop there - in addition to those resources, we attracted almost $1 billion more to ensure and implement additional support," Zholnovich stated at a press conference on Monday in Kyiv.
She noted that for the first time in Ukraine, a mechanism has been implemented where the country provided partners (UNICEF, UNHCR, etc.) with registers for payments, and they covered this with funding.
