On January 27, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed lawsuits with the High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) regarding the imposition of sanctions in the form of asset recovery for the benefit of the state against PJSC "Tatneft named after V.D. Shashin" ("Tatneft", Russia), reported Deputy Minister Inna Bohatykh on Facebook.
"The assets being seized include corporate rights of enterprises engaged in the operation of gas station networks and owning oil depots, filling stations, vehicles, and special equipment in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions, with an estimated value of about 2 billion UAH," the deputy minister noted.
According to her, the reasons for such actions are that "Tatneft" is one of the largest Russian oil companies, controlled by the highest political leadership, and provides significant revenues to the budget of the aggressor country, while its products may be used by the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
Additionally, Bohatykh indicated that the Ministry of Justice has filed three similar lawsuits - against the executive director of the Russian state media company "Russia Today," Kirill Vyshynsky (two real estate properties, two vehicles, and shares in two legal entities); Alexander Kuzmenko, who held the position of the so-called "Minister of Culture of the Kherson Region" (three real estate properties); and Vladimir Sergienko, who participated in propaganda talk shows on Russian television and radio (1/2 share in one real estate property and 50% share of corporate rights in LLC "Hels Kare Ukraine").
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine transferred the arrested assets of the Russian "Tatneft" to the management of "Ukrnafta" in August 2023, and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine allowed "Ukrnafta" to receive them in June 2024. This concerns, in particular, more than 50% in LLC "Tatneft-AGS-Ukraine," LLC "Poltava-Capital," and LLC "Kharkiv-Capital."
Previously, the press service of "Ukrnafta" noted that this involves more than 110 facilities of various types (filling stations, oil depots, other commercial premises) located in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions. According to its data, most of the mentioned facilities are in unsatisfactory condition: out of nearly 70 gas stations in the "Tatneft" network, about 15 can operate. A similar situation exists with non-operational oil depots.
