As a result of the nighttime drone attack on energy facilities, by the morning of January 28, 72 settlements in the Cherkasy region were left without power.

"Specialists from the regional energy company will begin emergency restoration work as soon as they receive the necessary permits from the State Emergency Service," - reported NEC "Ukrenergo" on Tuesday.

According to the company, electricity consumption in Ukraine continues to decline. In particular, on January 28, as of 9:30, the consumption level was 2.7% lower than at the same time the previous day, Monday.

The daily peak consumption on January 27 was recorded in the morning and was 3.4% lower than the peak of the previous working day - Friday, January 24. This change is attributed to a rise in air temperatures across all regions of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported on Tuesday that over the past day, energy workers restored power to 6,719 consumers who had been left without electricity due to hostilities.

"Energy workers are taking necessary measures to stabilize the energy system following the shelling of energy infrastructure. Restoration work on damaged energy facilities is ongoing," - the ministry noted.
