In the context of martial law, the Cabinet of Ministers has adhered to labor legislation regarding the minimum salary for employees of institutions and organizations funded by the budget, stated Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in response to a petition.
"Even under martial law and with the primary allocation of state budget expenditures towards the needs of the Armed Forces, other military formations, law enforcement, and other state bodies involved in tasks to repel armed aggression, ensure the integrity of the state border, and protect the state or to carry out measures of general mobilization according to the law, the government has complied with labor legislation concerning the minimum salary for employees of institutions, agencies, and organizations funded by the budget," Shmyhal explained in his response to the petition.
He emphasized that for the third consecutive year under martial law, funding for all social expenditures is sourced from international donors.
"Considering this, the issue of further increasing the salary of an employee in the 1st tariff grade of the Unified Tariff Scale of grades and coefficients for the payment of labor of employees in institutions, agencies, and organizations of certain sectors of the budget sphere will be addressed with regard to the necessity of rational and effective use of budget funds at all levels amid the limitations of the budget's revenue part during martial law and the principle of balance, which is one of the key principles of the budget system," the Prime Minister added, echoing his earlier response to a similar petition on this topic.
On September 22, a petition on the Cabinet's website calling for an increase in the salary of an employee at the first tariff grade of the unified tariff scale gained the required number of votes for consideration.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal noted in response to the petition that the issue of increasing the salary of an employee at the first tariff grade of the unified tariff scale will be examined considering the rational and effective use of budget funds amidst the limitations of the revenue part during martial law.
On October 17, another petition on the Cabinet's website urging an increase in the first tariff grade of the unified tariff scale gathered the necessary votes for consideration.
