7As a result of a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region, an educational institution and residential buildings have been damaged; it is reported that four people have died, and there are injuries.
Updated 15:14. The number of injured in Kryvyi Rih has risen to seven.
"Four people have been hospitalized. The condition of most remains serious. One injured person is in moderate condition," - informed the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhiy Lysak.
According to the words of the chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk, three individuals are in critical condition – a 22-year-old woman and two men aged 34 and 56.
Updated 14:05. President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih.
"Kryvyi Rih. The Russian army struck the city with missiles, ballistic ones. Ordinary residential buildings, an educational institution, and other urban infrastructure have been damaged. Unfortunately, there are fatalities. Currently, four lives have been reported lost due to this strike," - noted the president.
He expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
"Each such terrorist attack is yet another reminder of who we are dealing with. Russia does not stop on its own – it can only be halted through collective pressure. The pressure from everyone in the world who values life," – emphasized Zelensky.

In the city, two five-story buildings have been damaged. A fire broke out in one of them. An unused building has also been affected.
Updated 13:32. The chairman of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul reported that the number of fatalities has increased to four.
"Unfortunately, there are now four deceased. Ordinary civilians who were simply in the yard of their five-story building," he stated.
4Vilkul informed that Monday, January 20, will be declared a day of mourning in the city.

Prior to the strike, the Air Force reported a threat of ballistic weapon use from the south. Subsequently, they announced two fast-moving targets in the direction of Kryvyi Rih.

Russian occupiers periodically attack the city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk with ballistic missiles.
On December 24, 2024, Russia struck the city with ballistic missiles, hitting a four-story residential building. Rescuers had to clear the debris by hand since there were living people trapped beneath the rubble. Four individuals were successfully retrieved from under the debris.
Later, it was reported that as a result of the attack, the number of injured had risen to 17, with a 34-year-old man confirmed dead.
